ASoIaF Challenge | 14. song that reminds you of your favorite ship | Florence & the machine - No light, no light

Would you leave me
If I told you what I’d done?
And would you leave me
If I told you what I’d become?
‘Cause it’s so easy
To say it to a crowd
But it’s so hard, my love
To say it to you out loud

No light, no light
In your bright blue eyes
I never knew daylight could be so violent
A revelation in the light of day
You can’t choose what stays and what fades away
And I’d do anything to make you stay
No light, no light
Tell me what you want me to say

ASoIaF Challenge | 26. lines you wish hadn’t been cut from the show | SanSan dialogues

I was younger than you, six, maybe seven. A woodcarver set up shop in the village under my father’s keep, and to buy favor he sent us gifts. The old man made marvelous toys. I don’t remember what I got, but it was Gregor’s gift I wanted. A wooden knight, all painted up, every joint pegged separate and fixed with strings, so you could make him fight. Gregor is five years older than me, the toy was nothing to him, he was already a squire, near six foot tall and muscled like an ox. So I took his knight, but there was no joy to it, I tell you. I was scared all the while, and true enough, he found me. There was a brazier in the room. Gregor never said a word, just picked me up under his arm and shoved the side of my face down in the burning coals and held me there while I screamed and screamed. You saw how strong he is. Even then, it took three grown men to drag him off me. The septons preach about the seven hells. What do they know? Only a man who’s been burned knows what hell is truly like.

“Why did you come here?” “You promised me a song, little bird. Have you forgotten?” She didn’t know what he meant. She couldn’t sing for him now, here, with the sky aswirl with fire and men dying in their hundreds and their thousands. “I can’t,” she said. “Let me go, you’re scaring me.” “Everything scares you. Look at me. Look at me.”

still missing:

11. outfit or costume you think a character should wear - won’t do it because I’m not good at such things

14. song that reminds you of your favorite ship - Florence and the Machine: » Arya x Gendry

Would you leave me,
If I told you what I’ve done?
And would you need me,
If I told you what I’ve become?
‘cause it’s so easy,
To say it to a crowd
But it’s so hard, my love,
To say it to you out loud

21. character most in need of a break (from the plot or the fans) - Catelyn maybe.. I don’t know and to be honest I don’t care

24. favorite memory shared by any character - maybe Jon’s thoughts about his siblings before he was stabbed in ADWD

26. lines you wish hadn’t been cut from the show - ugh I really don’t know maybe the Hound’s lines when he tells Sansa about his scar

30. your headcanon endgame - Sansa Rickon as king in the North, Myrcella as queen on the ironthrone, Victarion as king of the Iron Islands and mance Rayder as the-Kings-beyond-the-Wall (if he survives the hospitality of Ramsay)

So I’ll make day 14, 26 and maybe 24 too. I won’t do 30 because I already did it in the ASOIAF MEME. And I skip day 11 and 21.

That’s all and I’ll finish this challenge.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!

ASoIaF Challenge | 22. most accurately portrayed character on the show | House Lannister

House Lannister of Casterly Rock is one of the Great Houses of Seven Kingdoms, and the principal house of the Westerlands. Their seat is Casterly Rock, though another branch exists that is based in nearby Lannisport. Their sigil is a golden lion on a field of crimson. Their official motto is “Hear me roar!” However their unofficial motto, equally well known, is “A Lannister always pays his debts.”

ASoIaF Challenge | 29. which king you’d bend the knee to | Robb Stark

It is no easy thing to wear a crown, Catelyn thought, watching, especially for a boy of fifteen years.

ASoIaF Challenge | 16. favorite non-westerosi nation | Braavos

Braavos was a city made for secrets, a city of fogs and masks and whispers. It’s very existence had been a secret for a century, the girl had learned; it’s location had been hidden thrice as long. The Nine Free Cities are the daughters of Valyria that was, the kindly man taught her. But Braavos is the bastard child who ran away from home. We are mongrel folk, the sons of slaves and whores and thieves.

ASoIaF Challenge | 18. favorite story from the history or founding of a house | House Targaryen

House Targaryen is one of the ancient noble houses of the Valyrian Freehold, a great empire spanning most of the eastern continent. The Targaryens were one of the few families to survive the Doom of their home, which they escaped by chance by departing for the westernmost outpost of Valyrian influence, the island of Dragonstone, off the east coast of Westeros. A hundred years after the Targaryens settled on Dragonstone, the Doom descended on Valyria, leading to the collapse of the Freehold. The Targaryens were the only dragonriders of Valyria to survive the Doom.

Following the Doom, there was pressure for the Targaryens to go east and ally themselves with Volantis, who attempted to restore the Freehold by conquering the rest of the Valyrian colonies to survive the Doom, now known as the Free Cities. However, the Targaryens remained on Dragonstone for another century until the young Aegon the Conqueror developed his ambitions toward Westeros, but not before Aegon flew to the Disputed Lands and joined an alliance to crush Volantene aspirations.

Aegon aspired to unite the seven Westerosi kingdoms under one ruler, and he was determined to be that ruler. A hundred years after the Doom, Aegon set forth from Dragonstone with his sister/wives Rhaenys and Visenya, their dragons, and a small force, landing at the mouth of the Blackwater Rush and beginning the Wars of Conquest. During his campaigns, Aegon was anointed king by the High Septon in Oldtown, leading to the unification of the Seven Kingdoms under Targaryen rule from the Iron Throne, starting a dynasty that lasted nearly 300 years.

Their house words are “Fire and Blood.”

ASoIaF Challenge | 18. favorite story from the history or founding of a houseAzor Ahai

It was a time when darkness lay heavy on the world. To oppose it, the hero must have a hero’s blade, oh, like none that had ever been. And so for thirty days and thirty nights Azor Ahai labored sleepless in the temple, forging a blade in the sacred fires. Heat and hammer and fold, heat and hammer and fold, oh, yes, until the sword was done. Yet when he plunged it into water to temper the steel it burst asunder.

“Being a hero, it was not for him to shrug and go in search of excellent grapes such as these, so again he began. The second time it took him fifty days and fifty nights, and this sword seemed even finer than the first. Azor Ahai captured a lion, to temper the blade by plunging it through the beast’s red heart, but once more the steel shattered and split. Great was his woe and great was his sorrow then, for he knew what he must do.

“A hundred days and a hundred nights he labored on the third blade, and as it glowed white-hot in the sacred fires, he summoned his wife. ‘Nissa Nissa’ he said to her, for that was her name, ‘bare your breast, and know that I love you best of all that is in this world.’ She did this thing, why I cannot say, and Azor Ahai thrust the smoking sword through her living heart. It is said that her cry of anguish and ecstasy left a crack across the face of the moon, but her blood and her soul and her strength and her courage all went into the steel. Such is the tale of the forging of Lightbringer, the Red Sword of Heroes.

ASoIaF Challenge | 19. most moving moment | [2/2]

The Red Wedding, the smallfolk are calling it. They swear Lord Frey had the boy’s head hacked off, sewed the head of his direwolf in its place, and nailed a crown about his ears. His lady mother was slain as well, and thrown naked in the river.”

At a wedding, thought Davos. As he sat at his slayer’s board, a guest beneath his roof. These Freys are cursed.
